Warren Extras

One of the guys I really enjoyed in comics was Jim Warren, so I did one-off stories for his books when I could, which wasn't as often as I'd have liked.

"Dax the Warrior" was a Spanish series by the wonderful Esteban Maroto that Jim republished. Each episode came with a (bad) English translation, so he had each one redialogued by people he liked, and "The Giant" was mine.

"Till Hell Freezes Over!" had great art by Carmine Infantino and Dick Giordano.

"Holo Cost," was created, penciled, and inked by a guy usually revered solely for his inks, Terry Austin. Since we were old Batman buddies, he asked me to dialogue it.

"Passion!" was one of those twisted tales I like so much, and many people can't understand - like "Too Long Lost" in AMAZING HIGH ADVENTURE. I swear I didn't know Barbara Leigh would be playing Vampi on the cover when I came up with the title...
